Sex is a very important part of our daily lives. As a practising physician for over 30 years, Prof. Hattat has become aware of how common sexual problems are and how detrimental to a couple's self esteem and overall quality of life they can be. The impact of a sexual problem or even a decrease in sexual performance can be enormous and may be deeply traumatising.

Although research shows that one of every three man or woman experiences one kind of a sexual problem during one phase of their lives, there is still so much to understand and learn for the sufferers in terms of the risk factors and causes of these problems.

Turns out that way more often than not, a diagnosis of a sexual dysfunction – male or female- is associated with metabolic syndrome, defined as the clustering of several of the following key symptoms: insulin resistance, central obesity, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. Several studies have found an association between metabolic syndrome and diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Now, strong evidence links the risk of male and female sexual problems with metabolic syndrome.

That's why our coaching team consists of master's level health educators, registered dieticians, certified clinical nutritionists, exercise specialists and certified health coaches. Using a brief questionnaire, we partner you with a health advisor best suited to meet your goals and needs.

Our programs can help YOU change behaviors and achieve goals through a combination of health coaching, small group support and a focus on the challenges that go along with adopting and maintaining a healthier lifestyle.
